Primark

Well, Primark it would appear is not a good location for window shopping. The problem is; window shopping is something you do when you know you can't afford anything you're looking at. Primark however has lots and lots of things you will probably like and will more than likely have enough money for in your purse. Therefore you end up spending money when really all you wanted was to have a look.

Then after the tenth thing you pick up that's "only a couple of pounds" you have spent as much as you would have in a more expensive store.

The moral of the story is if you're "just going for a look" stay clear of Primark. Oh and Debenhams in the sale. Its terrible. Beautiful evening dresses, perfect for all those weddings you will attend over the years reduced from 70 pounds to a mere 15 pounds. Bargain you think. Well yes if you are actually planning on going to a wedding or ladies day at the racing and you do have a spare tenner or so lying around.

In fact they say you learn something new everyday, for today I have learnt that window shoppers should not under any circumstances carry cash or a debit card.

Yes I may be a window shopaholic but I still have lessons to learn.

Online Sales

Well today is wet, it's cold and it's miserable. Even a die hard window shopaholic isn't going to trawl the shops on a day like this.

So what do I do? Well my trusty old laptop is my saviour today. And even better the sales are on. And yes it does matter that it's in the sale, even when I'm not planning to buy. I don't know why, it just does.

Well first of all I checked out Debenhams. After watching good old Gok on Thursday I wanted to see just how much that Julian MacDonald dress was. And to my surprise not only was it on sale at 63 quid, the only size available was mine. The nice and curvy 14. I loved that dress.

Then I had a look at Next. Me and the other half to be received 100 smackers in Next vouchers as an engagement present last month which has been sitting waiting to be used. Do those things have a time limit on them? I shall have to check that out. After trawling through the next house ware catalogue I honestly can't see anything that I really want. Next isn't really my fave shop to be honest. I think we may just have to split the voucher and get ourselves some new rags.

And on from there i ended up on trusty old eBay. I think I may need to start a new blog as an ebayaholic although I think there is more than likely a million of those blogs about.

Anyway I'm off now to check out some shoes. I hear Office has a sale on. Yummy.

Introduction

Hello

My name is Clare and I'm a window shopaholic.

I like most women love to shop. But as a struggling student and mother I just can't afford to spend loads of money buying all the things I want. Should I then not get to enjoy the thrill of the shop? Hell no! I go at least once a week and check out the highstreet shops and try on various outfits and dream of owning them.

Now some people may find this depressing. They might feel that they are being deprived of what they want. But not me. As long as you can get past the fact that this is mearly a hobby it really is great fun. My very favourite activity in fact is trawling wedding dress designers for the perfect wedding dress for when i do eventually tie the knot.

I'm sure there are more people out there like me and I feel it is my duty to share my experiences.
